Font Problem ?
Reading this website in Tamil Unicode
1. Users with browsers running on a Windows computer may have to download Murasu Anjal from http://www.murasu.com/downloads/
o Murasu Anjal includes the font TSCu_InaiMathi.
o Install and run Murasu Anjal in your computer and you should be able to read this site with any browser without configuring anything.
o Please see http://www.murasu.com/help/quickstart for help with Murasu Anjal.2. Linux and Mac OS users may need to install a Unicode font in their system in order to read Unicode Tamil.

1. I have Internet Explorer 5.5. I am able to see the Tamil characters, however, they are not properly sequenced – especially the “ukaram” and “uukaaram”.
a. This is caused by a missing component in Internet Explorer. You may want to download the latest version of the browser (6.0) from Microsoft.
b. If you have IE 5.5 CD with you, you may want to run setup again and select only the “Indic” support component (including Thai language).
c. If you are running Windows2000 or WindowsXp, you may have to install Indic language support from the CD.
i. Choose Setup->Control Panel.
ii. Select “Languages and Regional Options”
iii. Add “Support for complex scripts (Indic and Thai)”
d. Any of the above steps will install the missing component
2. I have XXX version of XXX browser. I also have Murasu Anjal running in my computer. However, I am not able to read the Tamil pages in this site.
a. Check if you have the font “TSCu_InaiMathi”. You may open WordPad and look at the fonts list to check this
b. In your browser, see if there is an option to manually set the font for Unicode. If there is, set that font to TSCu_InaiMathi.
c. If you are using a non-IE browser on Windows95, 98 or Me, you may not be able to read Tamil Unicode. Try and get the latest version of IE from Microsoft.com – it’s free.
